Warning: Spoilers for the third episode of the new season follow below.
The Combat-Oriented Party Introduced
The third episode finished on a huge suspense moment and introduced the initial group of adventurers who will branch out from the central cast to begin their independent quest, distinct from the additional parties.
The combat-focused team features Teor (portrayed by the voice actor), the nimble rogue (Laura Bailey), Tyranny (Whitney), Wicander Halovar (Sam), and Kattigan (Robbie Daymond).
Dividing the Cast
Given 13 cast members, it was clear from the start that maintaining everyone at one table would be impossible.
This explains, the first four episodes of Campaign 4 serve as an Prelude, weaving together the individual narratives before branching into three smaller tables: Soldiers, Planners, and Explorers.
The Nature of the Soldiers Table
According to the DM, the combat-focused party is for participants who are drawn to a traditionally charged fight-heavy narrative style where diplomatic options are rare.
At first glance, characters like the reluctant priest Wicander might seem out of place, but the events of the latest installment demonstrate why these particular heroes are best suited for the warrior group.
Reasons to Leave
For one thing, the party understands precisely where to proceed after a intense initial meeting with the antagonists.
Casimir of Thjazi—whose demise kicked off the campaign’s events—used the enemy for his own means, invading the secret base, attacking the character, and stealing all the enchanted items to sell off.
Casimir then settled his debts and ran away to a Halovar stronghouse in the remote area, above the urban center, with Teor’s brother pursuing him.
Individual Reasons
Secondly, each adventurer has a specific drive to exit the metropolitan area:
- The rogue, as Thjazi’s partner and best friend, wants revenge.
- The adventurer is familiar with the region and warns that it is a dangerous environment.
- Tyranny and Wicander, having defied his house’s orders to execute the target and instead rescued him, have no safe haven.
- However, their reputation as prominent individuals in the influential clan could assist the group enter locations they normally couldn’t.
- Additionally, Teor pledged a unbreakable promise to The savior for his rescue and will now go with him wherever.
Fugitives
Lastly, all of them are wanted by the rulers that control Dol-Makjar for a range of causes, making lingering locally dangerous:
- The rogue and Kattigan are notorious outlaws.
- The strong figure and Wicander betrayed House Halovar and the army of fiends they are aligned with.
- The fighter is wanted dead by House Halovar.
This leaves them few options but to head to the remote area in quest for the antagonist.

According to the latest episode’s Cooldown, we find out that the combat party will be absent the following episode, leaving the rest of the participants to form the Explorers and Schemers groups.
